Building a Brighter School Year
Our PTO helps support our school in so many ways—covering costs for academic activities, educational materials, and even recreational equipment that bring learning to life for students and teachers. It also helps fund staff appreciation events and address the everyday needs that come up throughout the school year. Thank you for being part of a team that turns your support into real opportunities for our students.

Join The PTO
By joining the PTO, you’ll have a voice in the decisions that support our students and school. PTO members can vote on initiatives, including our annual budget and how PTO funds are spent throughout the year.
But most importantly, your membership helps raise important money for events and iniatives throughout the year.
Membership is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year!
Volunteer
Spending time volunteering at our events and school events is a huge help and support for our PTO. We TRULY can’t do what we do without a huge group of volunteers.
Donate an hour, multiple hours, or regular hours. The time is yours, and everything helps us.

WHAT DO WE DO?
The PTO raises money throughout the year from friends and family of the children at Happy Valley Elementary. That money? It goes right back into the school. We purchase supplies, learning materials, games, host family events and whatever important needs come up throughout the year.

No. PTO stands for Parent-Teacher Organization. It’s a volunteer group made up of parents/guardians and teachers working together to support our school. It’s not the district, have a overarching governance, and it doesn’t replace school leadership—our role is to supplement and enhance school needs through fundraising and organizing.
-
This is a big one. The help of our community is the only reason we are able to do what we do. PTO is typically funded through fundraising events and donations from families and community members throughout the school year.
-
Please do! There are many ways to help. You can join a committee, take on a lead role, volunteer for events, donate items or supplies when needed, help with setup/cleanup, or share your ideas. If you’re not sure where you fit, start by contacting the PTO or attending a meeting. The more the merrier!

Opportunities may include helping with school events, supporting fundraising activities, assisting at appreciation events, organizing materials, spreading the word (flyers/social media), and more. Roles are flexible based on what the PTO needs throughout the year and what time you are able to offer. We have something for everyone!
